A policy outlining that the Collis porch banner hanging space may be reserved for the advertisement of significant institutional occasions for students. Advertising for one-time events is not permitted.
Recognizing Collis' role as Dartmouth's student center and prominent location in the Town of Hanover, the porch banner space is used to welcome students, families, supporters, and alumni to campus during some of Dartmouth's most significant campus wide programs. These are New Student Orientation, Family Weekend, Pride, Commencement, and June Reunions.
Additional approval may be made during historic institutional events (e.g. presidential inaugurations, establishment of new undergraduate colleges, or historic institutional milestone (e.g. 250th Celebration). Those looking to request a banner to be hung during a historic institutional event should contact Collis.Reservations@Dartmouth.edu to begin that process.
