This policy provides information on Dartmouth's immigration sponsorship for international students, researchers, faculty and staff.
The Office of Visa and Immigration Services (OVIS) oversees all nonimmigrant visa sponsorship and permanent residence sponsorship for international students, scholars, faculty and staff. For nonimmigrant (temporary) visa sponsorship, Dartmouth will sponsor eligible students, as well as eligible researchers, faculty and staff who have full-time academic appointments or offers of employment. Dartmouth sponsors permanent residence (green cards) for international tenure-track and tenured faculty. Department requests to sponsor senior research and professional staff positions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The use of outside legal counsel or other agents for Dartmouth-sponsored immigration matters is not permitted without OVIS review and approval. For more information on immigration sponsorship, eligibility and process please refer to the OVIS website.
