Outdoor Event Reservation Policy

This Policy outlines the procedures and restrictions for reserving outdoor space.

Policy Statement

  • Designated spaces on campus may be reserved through Virtual EMS or the Conferences and Events Office (C&E).
  • An Outdoor Activities Permit must be submitted to the Town of Hanover at least seven days prior to the event.
  • Amplified sound outdoors must be approved by the Town of Hanover. Per Ordinance No. 34 – Outdoor amplification must end at 10:00PM (Sun-Thur), 11:00PM (Friday/Saturday). Please contact C&E for information.
  • No amplified sound outdoors on weekdays before 5:00 pm. Exceptions may be requested from C&E in conjunction with the facility managers of surrounding buildings.  
  • For rally planning information, please contact C&E.
  • No outdoor programs may be scheduled during reading period or final examination period. Exceptions may be requested from C&E.
