Policy last updated: June 7, 2018

Applies to: All employees

Dartmouth does not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities in regard to application procedures, hiring, advancement, discharge, compensation, training, or other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment. The College will conduct its affairs in compliance with Sections 503 and 504 (cited §§ 793 and 794) of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA"), and the New Hampshire Human Rights Act.

Dartmouth will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodation to individuals with a disability so that they can perform the essential functions of a job. An employee who requires a reasonable accommodation should notify the ADA Coordinator in the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity of the need for an accommodation. Requests will be evaluated on an individual basis.  An accommodation request may be denied if it would impose an undue hardship on the College.

Inquiries or complaints in the employment context may be directed to Dartmouth's ADA Coordinator in the Office of Institutional Diversity & Equity, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights:
