This policy states that employees should not hire or directly supervise family members, or participate in institutional decisions concerning family members with several exceptions.

Employees should not hire or directly supervise family members, or participate in institutional decisions concerning family members, unless (a) the hiring has been approved in advance by the responsible divisional senior leader, (b) the responsible divisional senior leader has determined that procedures to avoid or reasonably manage conflicts of interest are feasible, and (c) such procedures have been put into place.
